HemAware magazine and its Web site, hemaware.org, are bringing home the gold, winning top honors from several publishing organizations.

Hemaware.org won a gold award from the Custom Content Council’s Pearl Awards for “Digital, Best Launch or Relaunch” and a gold award from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors for “Best Website.” The site received a bronze EXCEL Award from Association Media & Publishing for “Web Publishing” and  was selected as a finalist for “New Website” in the Media Industry Newsletter’s Best of the Web Awards.HemAware award

The print edition of HemAware received a silver award from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors for “Best Custom Publication.” The magazine also received a gold Ozzie Award from Folio for “Best Use of Photography, Association/Nonprofit,” for the “Pumping Iron” magazine spread in the Summer 2010 issue.

“It’s a great honor,” says John Indence, the National Hemophilia Foundation’s vice president for marketing and communications. “We pride ourselves on trying to bring the highest quality of editorial and design to both the magazine and the Web site. And, as hemaware.org has only been live for a little more than a year, it’s particularly gratifying to have it win two gold awards from such prestigious organizations.”
