Flu season is just around the corner, and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone older than 6 months old get a flu shot. The flu vaccine is especially critical for the following groups:

  • People with a respiratory illness or diabetes
  • Pregnant women
  • Children younger than 5 years old
  • People 65 years or older
  • Anyone who lives or works in close proximity to someone in any of the above groups

Flu vaccines now come in a variety of forms, from nasal sprays to intradermal vaccines, preferred for people with bleeding disorders. Find out which one is appropriate for you and get vaccinated before flu season hits.
